Imre Pechan, who works for evopro Innovation Ltd, writes about his research into molecular docking in an international bioinformatics research book.
The joint study by Imre Pechan, an employee at evopro Innovation Ltd., and Béla Fehér, who is a docent at BME (Budapest University of Technology and Economics), has been published in November in an internationally acclaimed bioinformatics book of research papers under the title “Hardware Accelerated Molecular Docking: A Survey”. In the article the authors present their FPGA and GPU based solutions that were developed by them, comparing them to other known molecular docking applications.
Each chapter of the book titled Bioinformatics introduces various research areas of the field (such as DNS sequencing, molecular modeling, high performance computing, etc.) using concrete examples to illustrate them. The book has been published by Intech, the world's largest multi-disciplinary open access publisher which has published over 1800 books and 10 journals by more than 70,000 authors.
