evopro hosted the second Comos Roadshow in Hungary.

The primary goal of the workshop – which was held on December 10 – was to help customers understand the benefits of the Comos design software. Several major Hungarian companies were also amongst the attendees, indicating the need for new, innovative, efficient solutions.

A guest speaker from Siemens Austria held a live presentation providing a spectacular illustration of the various design features of Comos. Thanks to evopro's several years of experience the participants got a professional insight into two exciting projects. There was a presentation about importing and handling VOC emission measurements data in Comos, which is a key element of a pilot project currently under development for MOL and others. The feature – which was developed by evopro – enables the user the import of several thousand measurement points stored in Microsoft Excel into Comos in an instant which can be displayed as piping plans, data sheets and graphs providing major help to the maintenance work of professionals.

The second project showcase introduced a demo cell developed by evopro illustrating the easy integration of Comos and a PCS7 system. During the presentation of the solution the audience could follow the creation and parameterization of the complete project in Comos in real-time. The audience was able to see how the complete Step7 project was generated in front of their own eyes, which was then downloaded into the PLC, and then the robotic arm has moved the workpiece from its Comos-defined start position to its final destination.

Customers making use of the design system have also held presentations in order to help other participants in their introduction of Comos.
