The evopro’s rapid charger received a silver award at the Italian A’Design competition, which is an important platform for showcasing the international successes of the Hungarian design community. The charging station was in the top 5% in the “Vehicle, Mobility and Transportation” category.

The A’Design awards are presented every summer in the Italian town of Como. Hungarian designers were yet again successful at the competition in 2017 – amongst them maform , a member of the evopro group, and a first-time participant in the competition. All of the four designs entered into the competition received high recognition. Two of them – the rapid charger and the “PAQ chair” chairbed developed by maform itself – received a silver award. The “Flike” flying drone received a bronze award in the “Future design” category. And last but not least, the “Aquilla” blood analyzer received a gold award in the “Scientific Instruments, Medical Devices and Research Equipment Design” category from the international judges.

The rapid charger is exceptional for several reasons. One of the requirements for its design was not only to make it user-friendly, but also to give it a clean exterior to make it blend into the cityscape as it serves the users of electric cars. By now several stations have been built out all over Hungary, thus accelerating the development of the charging infrastructure in the country.
