The 22nd National Control Technology Programming Competition took place between March 23-25 in Debrecen, which was the eleventh such event sponsored by evopro. This year 24 teams from 15 institutions – a total of 72 students – competed with each other in the subject of control technology.
The prestigious event was hosted by the University of Debrecen's Faculty of Engineering, and organized by the Higher Education Control Technology Educational Methodology Association (FIOM).
One of the goals of the competition is to raise the standard of PLC programming education while also recognizing the work of the students, and it also brings the educators, students and the industry's professionals closer together.
The competition consisted of one theoretical and two practical rounds. On the fist day the students had to solve a theoretical problem, then they got to learn about the technology of the first practical task which was developed by evopro and which was mentioned as one of the best tasks of the past years by the jury during the award ceremony. The second practical task used technology developed with Schneider devices.
Although for the past several years the winner was always from the University of Pécs, this year first place went to the “Óbuda Ammeters” team from the University of Óbuda, second place went to team “MK2” from the University of Debrecen, and third place went to team “Pollesto” from the University of Pécs.
evopro keeps raising the standard of the competition year after year and supports the emerging talents of the new generations.
